Dancer Health Day

You do not have to participate in the BDA Open Call Audition to take advantage of free BDA Dancer Health Day screenings! However, you must register separately for these activities.

All Dancer Health Day screenings take place at The Dance Complex in Studio 7, ground floor. This studio is completely accessible.

The screening is in two parts

• Confidential health history questionnaire. You will be able to download this from our site soon. 

• Health care professionals assess your fitness level, detect potential “red flags,” and make recommendations for preventive exercises and care. Dancers move through a series of stations that measure height and weight, aerobic capacity, hip rotation and flexibility and more. These exams are conducted clothed.

Registration is limited, so sign up for your assessment now.  Limited day-of screenings may be available at the door.

BDA Dancer Health Day is free, but donations are strongly encouraged. Suggested donation $5 BDA members, $15 Nonmembers.
